San Diego Auto Registration is a California DMV-licensed registration service at 7176 El Cajon Blvd in San Diego’s College Area. We’re a DMV Business Partner authorized under California Vehicle Code §11400 to process vehicle registration transactions on behalf of the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

Make DMV transactions simple, fast, and transparent. The California DMV does important work, but field offices are often backed up with hours-long waits. Our job is to process the same transactions — using the same DMV system — in minutes instead of hours, with a friendly, licensed professional walking you through every step.
What It Means That We’re “DMV-Licensed”
Our California DMV Business Partner license authorizes us to enter data directly into the DMV system and issue official documents. That includes:
- Registration cards that match exactly what DMV would print at a field office
- Registration stickers pulled from DMV’s secured inventory
- License plates for new registrations and replacements
- Digital filing of title transfers, VIN verifications, and liability releases
To maintain our license, our staff completes annual DMV training, we submit to routine state audits, and we carry bonds and insurance required by the Vehicle Code.
Our Commitment to Transparency
California Vehicle Code §11406(e) requires DMV business partners to inform customers that standard DMV services are available for free at any California DMV field office. We comply fully. Before every transaction, we disclose:
- The exact DMV fees that would be charged at a field office (which we collect on behalf of the state)
- Our separate service fee for processing your transaction
- The fact that you may choose to go to a state DMV office instead, at no cost beyond DMV fees

Our primary service area is ZIP code 92115 (College Area, Rolando, Talmadge) and every neighborhood within 5 miles: La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Spring Valley, North Park, City Heights, Normal Heights, and the western edge of El Cajon.
